GIULIANO VESTITO INTERVIEW
Giuliano Vestito is the director of the Acaya Golf Resort & SPA Golf Club, we had the pleasure of meeting him and on this occasion we asked him some curiosities about his passion for golf. Giuliano, 45, from Salento and with a great passion: golf. He introduces himself like this “sometimes I am also nice but don’t tell it around”.
1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU PLAYED GOLF?
I’ve been trying since 1999! It’s a complicated discipline that requires years of preparation and training and that has always fascinated me. I wanted to start earlier but the first real chance was in 1999.
2. HOW DID YOU GET CLOSE TO GOLF?
There is no exciting story, it all started by chance. I can say I found myself in the right place at right moment. The constant is that from the first time it was immediately true love.
3. WHO IS THE GOLF CHAMPION YOU ADMIRE MOST?
Undoubtedly, the legendary Tiger Wood, a player you can’t help but love and admire, could do things that others could only dream of! I remember a very significant sentence from him, “Who is also dedicated to golf just for fun, he knows that this is a sport where you can’t play well every week.”
4. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND TO PLAY GOLF?
It is a secret … though I can tell you just enough to have fun. And this makes me very happy.
5. WHAT SATISFACTIONS DOES THIS SPORT GIVE YOU?
Concentration … and hope in a hole like in life everything can change so be patient and wait for your moment.
6. WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST ANECDOTE OF YOUR GOLF LIFE?
I had entered the world of golf a few months ago when I met Mario Camicia, I introduced myself and he laughed, he thought I had made a joke.
7.WHICH GOLF CLUB DO YOU CONSIDER BEST?
Definitely the Acaya Golf Club. In the fantastic territory of Salento, the land “te lu sule, lu mare e lu ientu ”or the Sun of the Sea and the Wind, immersed in a luxuriant landscape among the Mediterranean scrub, pine trees and rocky ridges is the Acaya Golf Club, one of the most beautiful golf courses in Italy. It is an exciting journey you never get tired of playing it, there amazing thing is that each hole has a unique scenario. Seeing is believing. Besides an excellent golf course, in Salento you will find excellent food, a fantastic sea and all this that the baroque can offer you!
